New truckstop proposed to serve cross-Channel ports
GSE Truckstop Development, based in Ashford, will shortly be consulting on plans to develop a new truckstop and driver wellbeing facilities at the Court Wood Interchange between the Roundhill Tunnel and Port of Dover on the A20.

The plans will deliver much-needed secure HGV parking close to the Port of Dover, the UK’s busiest roll-on/roll-off port, and Eurotunnel. By providing best-in-class HGV welfare facilities right on the doorstep of England’s busiest ports, it would reduce inappropriate local lorry parking, anti-social behaviour and littering, and boost the local economy
Public consultation to launch soon
This website will go live when the public consultation opens to help inform the local community about the plans and provide an opportunity for feedback. The proposed truckstop will feature:
600 lorry parking spaces, split into three zones divided by green corridors
A single-storey building providing welfare facilities for HGV drivers (catering facilities, a shop, a gym, laundry, showers and toilets etc)
Perimeter security fencing
A small security gatehouse
Low impact lighting across the site
New grassland habitat to deliver onsite biodiversity
Native woodland planting, landscaping and bunding to improve biodiversity and provide screening
